I am a third year student and I am very keen on renewable energy sources especially photovoltaics.
I am thinking of starting a business in this sector, which would consist of planning, installing and maintaining small photovoltaic systems. I think it would be great to install such systems on buildings which have a big need of energy. (for example companies or hotels or a vacation residence). The idea is that these systems would create the energy needed or part of that need (depending on the sun) and the other part or the whole need (when there is no sun) they would have to buy from the local distributor. Of course this is not a simple calculation but I would like to evaluate if it's sustainable and profitable to start this business. Could you please give me a few advices how I should calculate these things, what I should take in consideration or any other help, because even if I learn electrical engineering I am quite unexperienced. I hope the question is clear enough, but I can explain again if it is not.
