You will find our site short on green blather and we try to be long on practical.

1) Ford is advertising this as "THE" primary power supply for the car - not for power when it is not in use

2) Applications such as this give the public a taste of solar that has a lot of BS mixed in - not a good thing.

3) When the owner turns the AC on it will help? Look at the advertisement before saying such things.

re: 1. it's a concept car. the info I find has the car as a hybrid. with a gas motor supplement. the electric is to run the car for short trips around town.

2. come on. a fresnel lens. a car that moves back and forth automatically to track the sun. that's cool.

3. i guess you misread my original post. if a fan runs in the car keeping it cooler while the owner is away it will reduce the requirement for air conditioning.
