Seasoned E-Marketing/Commerce Professional Looking for Intern/Volunteer Work

    Hello,

I'm offering my spare time and skills in exchange for getting a foot in the door of the growing solar power industry. The short of it is that I have a GREAT job right now. I get to set my own hours and work from home for wonderful managers in a low-stress environment. I can't give that up, yet. However, I have been a big fan of solar power for a long time and dream of being able to transfer my skills and experience into a meaningful career in the future.

    Skills I can offer:
    • Online editing and copy writing for web sites, blogs, e-commerce, etc.
    • Social media coordination and account set up
    • Project management and administrative assistance
    • Graphic design
    • Affiliate marketing
    • Search engine marketing, search engine optimization
    • (the list goes on!)

If anyone wants to message me offline, I can send a full resume.

    Thank you!
(BTW - I just purchased a pre-paid lease for a 6.37 kW system, permits are being pulled now, can't wait!)

I was looking at SolarCity's web site the other day and they have dozens of openings. Maybe check in with them to see if they can offer something.

Thanks, I'm not able to work full-time at the moment but would love to work remotely for someone to get my foot in the door. Just finishing up Rooftop Revolution, pretty good read. Any other advice welcome!

        You mean Kennedy's Rooftop Revolution?

Better off to spend your time on something that might help you know the business.

I haven't read and wouldn't bother to read the book - it has to satisfy the intended audience - greens. Meaning that it is pablum designed for that bunch.

Yes, I do mean Danny Kennedy's book and I agree, it was a feel-good book but I did enjoy most of it. I am somewhat of a "green" as you say but can't disagree that it is "pablum". As a new solar customer, I don't mind reading something that gives me insight into Danny's journey and Sungevity (even though I didn't choose them to install my solar system.)

So, I'm open to suggestions for good reads, intros, into the solar industry. Any non-pablum suggestions??

          Thank you for your reply!
