Bought home with SolarEdge already installed.

So my daughter just bought a home in Utah with SolarEdge inverter, serial# shows it was manufactured in 2016. The previous homeowner knows nothing about the system since he bought the home two years ago to flip. I have SolarEdge at my house in Louisiana since 2014 and have the SE app on my phone where I can monitor down to the panel. Is there any way for her to get set up without knowing the installer? SE FAQ's it seems that the installer has to set up the user account.

    Thanks in advance...

Solar Edge customer support is almost worthless unless you keep hammering at them. I'd call them and explain you're a new homeowner and how do you get linked without the installer. Might take 10 phone calls before you get someone willing to help.

    Good luck

I’m located in florida but it should not matter that your in Utah. The solution is simple.
find a legitimate local solar technician who is registered with solaredge and who has access to the “SetApp”
have him come over and then you call solaredge together, you tell them that you want (whatever the new company is) to be the new administrator. Then they will put that new company as the administrator and they can view and monitor your system and give you access.

hopefully they’re a good solar company and actually monitor your system remotely and will get ahold of you if there’s an error before you even have to call them.
