Just got my shed system up and running and the output seems to be low. The system consists of 4 Renogy 100W panels hooked up in a 2S2P configuration. The charge controller is an Epever BN. Clean panels on a sunny day the BT50 shows 10amps at 13.5V out which is only 135watts. Was expecting more in the 300watt+ range.

Any shade ?
What's the array's tilt and azimuth ?
All the connections tight and cool enough to touch ?
Simple stuff first. -

The building runs north to south with the panels on the east side. There is no angle for the azimuth which should be about 20degrees. The sun is perpendicular to the panels from east to west at 10-11am. Its not ideal, but its the best I could do without fudging the Iron Ridge rail mounts. I might be able to add 5deg azimuth by lifting the north side of the rails.
The battery is a SOK 12V 210AH which shuts down when fully charged, but does not seem to slow the charging until full.
The system is working ok for the current use which is overhead lighting, small tv, fan and computer. The battery has run down to 70%, but has taken 1.5 days to get back to 100%. My concern is that in the winter the azimuth would need to be 40deg, so it will be worse. I have enough room to add 4 X 100w panels or scrap what I have and go with 2 X 350-400w units.Comment
