SolarEdge grid-tie inverter no power but indicates production

I’m new to the forum and haven’t been able to find the topic I’m looking for. Feel free to let me know if I should move this topic.

My dad was the licensed installer of my system and passed 3 years ago. Since then I have familiarized myself with the system but I am stumped now. There isn’t much manufacture support on issues and often told to contact the installer. Let me tell you, that would be great if I could!

On August 2nd a lawnmower knocked the ground clamp off at the solar panels. The next day a new ground clamp was added. At that time the system has stopped production based on the grid tie power meter. However, the indicator light has always been solid green. After system reboots it flashes green for a short time but then turns solid. Additional, the module communication was lost. Other than the solid green light all signs show it is not producing. Any ideas are appreciated.

I'm going to make a few assumptions here and you know what that often means.
This a ground mounted system? Prior to the lawn mower strike you can see each day's output on the app or website?
If both the above answers are yes, I'll go out on a limb and guess the lawn guy hit more than just the ground clamp.

It is a 8kw ground mounted system and is vacant. couple motion lights fridge and hot water heater (vacation mode) is the only draw on the system. Communication with the solar edge app stopped at the same time.

Is this a grid tied system or an off grid system?
If it is Off grid, and unless you have a battery, if there is no draw, there would be no production. The system would only produce what is needed for the draw.

It is grid tie only, no batteries.

Which model do you have of inverter?

Are you connected via ethernet for the communication board?

Does it have LCD display or just LEDs? If LCD, you can cycle through to see what it says,
Mine has three LEDs. Blue one to indicate if communicating with monitoring. Green one - on is producing and flashing is on, but not producing. Red one indicates if fault.

Most importantly, you should be able to download the SetApp on a smart phone and then use the toggle switch to connect to the system in view only mode and then see if there are any error messages, Check out the install manual for your model.

Model Se7600a, it has a display screen and indicator lights. Communicates wirelessly to solar edge home gateway. I have the solar edge app but it isn’t reporting. Is the set app something else? I will need to figure out how to get the screen to show me any codes. Thanks.

Yeah, the SetApp is an smart phone app that allows you to access the inverter locally to view (and for installers to configure). Your phone connects to the inverter via Wi-Fi.

It looks like your inverter is quite old, and probably doesn't support SetApp. However, with the display you should be able to look at a bunch of information. Take a look at the install manual, which has information on the using the LCD display. Here's one I found by searching (there may be one downloadable from SolarEdge somewhere):

View and Download SolarEdge SE7600A-US installation manual online. StorEdge Solution with Backup. SE7600A-US inverter pdf manual download. Also for: Seauto-tx-5000.

You can look at status and configuration settings of the inverter and hopefully some folks on this forum, who are more knowledgeable than me (I'm not an installer, just an enthusiastic user), may be able to help interpret what is going on.

Looking back at your first post.
                  Troubleshooting 101..........

Everything worked properly till hit by the lawnmower. Start there!! Physically look at everything for damage. What else was touched/hit besides the ground clamp? Did the "repairman" turn anything off? unplug something?

                  Good luck.
