I thank all Mass ratepayers for paying for my salary for last 8 years building Combined Heat and Power plants that were awarded large front end and ongoing incentives. The only way to win is not to play and that means moving out of state or installing renewables and batteries.
Well at the high rates you are paying in New England I expect it becomes easy to justify a solar and possibly battery system. But for other areas of the US the lower rates just don't make any sense to go solar.

Is all comes down to New England jumped the gun on the Clean Power Plan and put in RGGI, if the Clean Power Plan had not been stopped by the Trump administration, New England was just about covered, other parts of the country would have seen double digit increases. So unless someone does not believe in AGW or thinks that reduced carbon is not needed its pay me now or pay me later.on region by region basis.

i really don't know who started it all but I just don't understand why I pay only $0.08/kWh and others pay over $0.30/kWh. My electric bill has not increased in over 5 years but now with the Clean Power Plan going through I expect it will increase. But that is my opinion.

As I lurk on this site and others it has become apparent that knowing the person's general location would be helpful. Northern Illinois here paying $0.13kw this month
