Two PWM controller for the same solar panel array

Hi friends!,
I know that connect two differents PWM solar charge controllers to the same battery bank is possible, but what i dont know is why i cant connect two solar charge controllers in parallel to the same solar panel array?. If they are equal i suppose they split the current and there would not be problem.

But things are never exactly equal. If one controller shuts off before the other it would put the full array to the other controller. Even microseconds would be enough to destroy the Controller. Do it right and split the array.

Two controller means two separate panel arrays. You can combine two controllers to a single battery.

With that said is really wasteful and you should be using a single MPPT controller as that would give you 50% more power.

Since they were released. A 100 watt panel on PWM gets you 65 watts. A 100 watt panel on MPPT gets you 95 to 98 watts or roughly 50% more. Just the nature of the beast.

66 + 33% = 87.78 every day of the week. 33% of 66 = 21.78.

66 + 50% = 99 every day of the week. 50% of 66 is 33.
