Solar PV Training Class Suggestion Requested

I have been looking to join a training program for solar PV systems.

I have no background in electrical engineering or have real life experience, but very interested in learning for career and professional development. I cannot switch jobs at this time, so learning by working for a solar developer or installer is out of the question. Internet can only help you so far.

There are so many providers of solar PV training ( both class + hands-on expeirence ) but very limited feedback / reviews available to evaluate them.

I live in Central NewJersey but do not mind traveling if the classes are taught by real Subject Matter Experts and have solid hands-on training ( Understand there is only so much you can learn in 40-60 hours ).

Most of the classes are expensive at approx. $2000. Because of the expensive nature I am hesitant to book a class without any good feedback.

    Any feedback is most appreciated.

    Thanks everyone !

I was going to suggest that.

Background is what you need, with no electrical experience, it's going to be a lot more difficult.
Have a Google round for basic electrical installation, AC & DC topics.

Doing things professionally will require certification of some kind, something I don't have in this field, others will guide you here.

I built my own small system with uncle Google and his mate Youtube.

Mechanical engineering will come in handy too, but that's another lifetime's studying...

Definitely do some research, in order to get certified to install solar, I am not aware of any program that allows you to skip apprenticing for a set period of time. You can get plenty of good training for general interest but it doesn't waive the apprenticeship of a couple of years.

        Guys -

I am going to be very specific with my question.

Has anyone taken any hands-on solar training class for beginners?

If so, can you share your feedback please?

P.S.I totally appreciate the responses that suggested I should go for apprenticeship but as of now it is out of question for a variety of reasons.

The jobs you are talking about are basically labor type of jobs with a small amount of skill.
