Zep - still available outside of Solar city?

So I have been having a frustrating time finding anyone that can offer a system that is Zep mounting compatible, and that actually can offer Zep mounts!

The latest attempt at this.. a company that, per California CSI database, I know does Suniva panels (only USA-ish company that seems to show up on the zep compatible list) with Solar Edge. So I talk to them, and they don't use Suniva anymore (claiming several things: they have a failed Mexico plant, they are really owned by Spain, will be out of business). And then the thing that this post is about: that now that Solar City bought Zep, they only sell internally.. can't get Zep system.

Is that true? (the Zep part.. the Suniva stuff, I can't find evidence for either).

You are confusing Suniva with Siliken about which what that dealer said is true.
Siliken is a spanish company they did have a plant in the US and closed it and are on the rocks financially. Dont know if they went down and out.

I wish it was just me that was confused.. I just finished an email back/forth with the installer guy where he says it's Suniva.. needless to say, I am not encouraged

Ok installer changed his tune a bit.. instead of Zep isn't selling outside of solar city, it is now that his distributor dropped them due to the sale to solar city. Same effect I guess. and that Suniva isn't yet distributing Zep compatible panels.

Installer admitted he confused Siliken and Suniva, thanks for the tip!

A google search confirms everything you said about Spanish owned bankrupt failed Mexican and US plants Except it is Siliken not Suniva.
Nothing at all with regards to this shows up about Suniva

Right.. when you look up Suniva, nothing comes up.. so I knew he was wrong. What I didn't know is the name of the company that he was mistaking it for (I did look up 'spain solar failed mexican plant' before coming here but nothing stood out). That was not really the main part of my question though is.

After talking to installers, distributors, and even a manufacturer today I do think Zep mounting is off, or in the process of, going off the open market entirely; it is well on its way to becoming a SolarCity exclusive. That I think is unfortunate for everyone as it seems like a mounting system to make sharp looking installations.
