Nothing is likely to kill the solar leasing industry faster than getting a reputation for making it hard to sell your house.

I think if these leasing companies were smart, they'd form an industry association in order to develop a standard lease contract which everybody in the industry would use, and which enables easy transfer of a lease to a new buyer. That way the real estate agent could just tell the buyer, "it's the standard contract, if you qualify for a mortgage (or whatever) you just need to sign a one-page agreement to assume the solar lease."
