Hi All, I am at my whits end trying to sort this problem.
We inherited a solar panel paradigma cpc 14 we bought this place, it is a very basic system or seems that to me, when after a while we were told to get the full benefit we needed to get a larger cylinder so we did, also we had the panel decommissioned last year so we could renew the roof tiles, plumber put it back up & since then it’s not been quite right. I can hear the pump running at night, to get over this for the time being I take out the bottom probe & warm it up on the hot water pipe so the temp comes up & stops the pump running.
It all cools down until I did notice the temp on the collector going up when the hot water was being drawn at six o’clock at night HOW when it’s like 1 - 0°C outside the collector went up to 55°C, I can’t get my head around that!
The system seems to run fine through the day, pump running, the pressure is running at 13bar, the controller is a deltasol bs all fitted in 2008, the original installers have gone bust, a local company wants £800 -£900 + vat I must have something wrote on my forehead, or is it that complicated?
