    Help with Plumbing Configuration

My contractor is adding 8 - 4'x12.5' panels to the roof of my home to heat the pool. Looking forward to having the system.

As I must have a two part system (4 panels on one side of the porch roof and 4 panels on the other) means the feed plumbing must rise between them.
I am looking for how others might configure the plumbing to get water to and from them on the roof.
I am gathering information before he arrives in about a week to do the install.
That way we can talk about the best installation option. Please respond using the letters on how you would configure the plumbing.

The red and blue lines are where the plumbing must travel to and from the roof. (This is a Southern CA location, Vertical panels) ? Do i need a drain on far side?

Example Cold A-E-F and second seperate line Cold A-B-G-H-I etc.

Thanks for the opinions in advance

If it never goes below freezing you will not need a drain on the far array. Otherwise a drain for winter will be necessary
I would plumb them as if they were one single array all in a row. However since water is lazy and wants to take the path of least resistance you will need to put in a balancing valve on the top pipe connecting the two arrays top headers or flow will be reduced in the far array. The cold feed will be in the lower left corner of the array closest to the riser from the pump and hot out at the upper right corner of the far array.
