Testing One square meter size home made al-soffit heater.

Weather: very bright sunny, very bright snow.

Aluminium soffit about 91-94% cover. Back inside aluminium paper.
Back plate only 18mm chipboard. Not very well sealed.
One old window.
Now passive air circulation only. 75mm tubes.

At 10:10 -12C/10F +35C/95F
At 10:35 -11C/12F +43C/109F

how are you geting heat in to house ????

It's on the roof now. Warm air goes down to chimney in a 5 inch tube. Down inside is a 5 inch fan sucking air from the roof. Connected -2C outside and it gives 26C air near the fan. Perhaps 30cfm. Only One Square meter! Planning 3-4 m2 collector... Now rainy...

Many ways to do it but solar air heating along with solar air heating are the most practical way to go - best return for the buck.
