Sorry, sounds like an ad to sell something.... anyway, I bought a house with a boatload of old solar landscape lighting that didn't work. I tried replacing the rechargeable batteries in a couple of them and they did not really fix it. I had an idea to put "used up" AA batteries (from a remote controller that needed new batteries). To my amazement the old AA batteries lasted about a MONTH in my solar landscape lights! I haven't tested new AA batteries, but I bet they would last a long time. This would extend the life of the landscape lighting significantly!

I didn't have a Charger
The point of the post is you can put apparently dead alkaline batteries in solar lights and they last a long time. It makes me question if I properly charged my replacement batteries, how much longer would they last than a alkaline battery? This might be a great alternative for lighting on the side of the house with no sunlight in the day.Comment
