Need info on solar lighting options for town park

Hi! The Town of Tryon, North Carolina is seeking information on solar options for lighting in community parks. Any information on best brands, products to avoid, what works, what doesn't work and any other advice in general on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

For starters, we have a small (1/3 acre) park with two electrical poles but no lights. For safety of park users in the evenings, we need some lights, but would like to keep costs low for the community. Solar options might help here, but we need to know what products would work and what won't. Please help!

Pigeon poop will have to be resolved, it shades the panel, and reduces output.

Solar lighting, if grid power is avaib, is only for show. If there is no grid, then solar is an effective alternative. But it won't be nearly as bright as grid power lights.

The best thing they could do, is to install a GT array, and feed the grid daytimes, and let folks know anyone properly connected, can do it too.

Keeping costs low, your best bet is grid powered LED street lights. They will work fine till somone shoots them out, lighting hits the pole, or the glaicers return.
