i know these are used for industrial applications and that if i use equipment that is undersized or oversized that i will not have an efficient system but if i want to run my phones and laptops and also pumps and power tools that i could link these with my 3000Watt invertor?

You would also need a large battery and a solar charge controller.
It has always been recommended on this forum tha for 12v max inverter is 1000w. This is due to current draw.
There are many people using large inverters at 12v in RV setups, but I suggest there would many that have problems. There is a big difference in quality and price of inverters, wiring and protection needs to be done correctly for safety and fire prevention.Comment

I can't help you design a system, but depending on what you want to achieve i can give my opinion options to look at.
I have lived with off grid house for 18 years and have solar battery set ups in 2 Rvs.
So why are you looking at the inverter set up?Comment
