Comparing Quotes What is kwp?

I have had three quotes. Two quotes referred to "w" but one referred to "kwp" making it impossible to compare it against the other two quotes.
Google tells me the "p" stands for peak.
I have tried ringing the solar department of the company but it is a large utilities company and it took ages for them to answer and when they did, the solar "expert" rep said he didn't know.

It means the KWp rating or kilowatts peak. This is the rate at which your solar system generates energy at peak performance, such as at midday on a sunny day.
