My solaredge gateway has not worked consistently since new. I read back and found several old posts of mine from 2016.
It finally stopped communicating all together in 2021.
I have re- "Paired" the gateway several times. Each time I get 3 bars of signal on the gateway. But it seems that the inverter is not sending any data to the gateway.
I have tried completely resetting the inverter many times, re-pairing, moving the gateway closer to the inverter, etc...
Even installed an ethernet extender.
It was suggested a few years ago to do a hare-wire ethernet connector as a bypass. It is around 120 feet to my router, and I would have to drill through concrete and run the ethernet cable to a different floor of my house. Not totally un-doable, but at the same time this option was fairly expensive when new, and I am the type of person that likes things to work as they were intended to do so.
I am thinking either the comm card in the inverter itself is bad, or my gateway itself is bad.
Either way, I am coming up empty-handed even finding a replacement for either part.
And I have sent solaredge many messages, sat on hold for hours, and done their stupid chat. All to no avail.
Has anyone had any success getting this Zigbee system to work again? I have looked into performing a firmware update VIA SD card, but it seems like it is somewhat un-user-friendly.
HELP!!!
