Do I need to measure both hot lines of the incoming 220V from meter?

Hello, I'm hooking up my wifi electric monitor to the electric panel and wondering if I need a sensor on BOTH of the 220V hot lines coming into the box, or if 1 will suffice because they will measure same?

I have 2 solar inverters and already have sensors on both of those lines.

Getting a sensor to clamp around the 2nd hot line from meter isn't easy (due to location in breaker box) so that's why I ask.

With your single phase loads not being balanced I would say that measuring only one of the 220v lines will not get you an accurate amp usage. You will need to get CT's on both lines to get a real usage reading.

I don't know what your panel and wiring looks like but there are split CT's that allow them to be installed without requiring the removal of any wires.
