Time to upgrade my eyedro meters. Actually I'll buy the solar compatible version and move one of the existing ones to the other Tesla charger. I keep track of charger usage on the main charger. But I'll use the other for the extra charger port. -
Mine meter was just swapped.... quick outage at home. Checked cameras, I see the workers there.Leave a comment:

flowing So I can confirm my utility meter was NOT swapped even with PTO granted yesterday, same as you.
So how does that work out for us? Is it like a little kickback to JCP&L while we are now earning towards SREC's our utility credits are not being counted until the official swap?
And interestingly enough my billing cycle that ended 9/3 was an "estimated" bill rather than an official reading and in doing so was about 300 kWh high. Interesting set of events indeed....
Anyways, during my 1st partial day of solar run time (11:30am-7:15pm) my system generated a total of 27.17 kWh. Was surprised to see energy still trickling in so late in the day, basically until 15min before official sundown.

I assume you have a bit of a westerly facing array to be producing so late.Leave a comment:

It seems like it might be grounds for a suite against the Utility for common practice of granting PTO without setting up proper metering and thus actually charging for production instead of crediting.Leave a comment:

So after receiving our PTO today I just wanted to take a minute to recap our full GPE solar journey from start to finish....
In total it's been a full 5-months start to finish as shown below and updated in the OP Page 1 post:

Nope no setup needed, GPE does all that and the default access has a Dashboard tab which is my first picture and Layout tab which is the second one.
Under the Layout tab there are other options such as physical layout vs. logical (breaks down system arrays by strings). It's really neat and I already emailed GPE to give me Full/Owner Access for the other tabs including Admin where you can setup API Access for data mirroring/monitoring sites like PVoutput.

Very cool. I just heard from JCPL. They will replace the meter in the next two weeks. We dont have to be present for that part.
I cant wait for access to the system. Did you setup that cool visualization of the system?Leave a comment:

Then a few hours later an email from GPE for the SolarEdge Login creation and a direct SolarEdge email stating the current access granted.
So congrats to us, it's all coming together!
My sun juice is FINALLY flowing as of 11:15am!!!

Hey mine just came online today. But the utility never replaced their meter.... is that normal? I have the utility spinner type meter.
How do I get access to the interface of the inverted? GPE have to send me something?
ThanksLeave a comment:

Some places require a meter base with a bypass; This allows them to swap the meter without cutting power.Leave a comment:

I also didn't lose power when they swapped my meter. I was home and didn't know they did until I went outside and saw the new meter much later. No idea how they did it...Leave a comment:
