Any feedback on Trinity Solar in New Jersey?

Lots of mixed reviews on Trinity Solar and other sites. They have an A+ on BBB but have numerous complaints over the past year. Most seem to be customer service related. They are the biggest local solar company in NJ.

Has anyone used them for your install? Any feedback would be appreciated, planning on getting a quote next week.

They are a decent firm, but I would definitely shop around...

Trinity is more interested in PPAs and leases than they are selling systems.

A neighbor had them install their system, they did a PPA. It took trinity 4 months for the install from start to finish, they installed the racks (waiting for rough inspection approval), and it took about a month for them to come back out and complete the install.

I recently purchased my system for $3.03/watt LG315 panels with SE10000 inverter. Unirac mounting system, and they threw in an extended warranty on the inverter.

    I'm in central NJ.

I got a quote from them last summer (we are on long island)- they came out, did their thing, sent the quote, and then nothing... not a call asking if we made a decision/etc... very strange.. every other company I got a quote from, called at least once.. most 2-3 times to see if I made a decision ...

I had them come out to quote last spring here in NJ. Sales guy was personable and talked more about the economics of solar since I already have a decent grasp on the tech. I had them come out and do measurements to get a solid quote before signing. I got basic numbers but no plans on what was going to be used and the layout on the roof. I asked for that and was told I'd get the info but got nothing. Then when it got close to the pre-approval for financing got close to expiring it was a paniced frenzy to get me to sign for an installation. I was pretty much with pen in hand for another installer that I ended up not going with Trinity. If they had been more attentive I probably had gone with them. It's nice to not have pushy sales people but when a potential customer asks for info it's best to followup with what was asked.

Thanks for the feedback. Going to be getting a quote from them as well as Sea Bright, Green Power, Evoke, and maybe Geopeak. Will post quote info once they are all done.

Green Power Energy reviews and complaints, reviews of the brands of solar panels they sell, their locations and the cost of installations reported to us for 2025. Get the best deal.

Green power is who I used, professional workmanship, timely manner and the price was good. I think it is a good balance of all 3.

We used trinity and the sales people were very nice...but that is where things went down hill. The communication regarding permits and interconnection was horrid. And they offered us financing terms that their vendor would not honor. In the end I think the do good work but their communication is lacking.
