Solar Carports - Has anyone done it?

In my case, the carport is already built. Long ago, before I owned the house. I have no idea if it was built to any code or permits or anything like that. It is 20x20. It only slopes about 1 foot across it's span, so the pv panels would likely be tilted per row. A few years ago we got a freak 10-12" heavy snowfall and it survived fine- several other carports in the area collapsed under this weight. (Texas)

It probably won't be the dead weight of the equipment as much as the combined effects of the dead weight + wind or seismic loads, probably wind controlling.
