Received some quotes and need your opinion...beginner

I received some quotes to install solar panels for my building of apartements in europe. Received 3 quotes with different brand panels for a 10KW power system I would like your opinion...quotes are for complete systems installed I need to know which panel you would recommend!!!

System 1:
Phonosolar Panels
3 Inverter SMA 3300TL HC

30,000Euro

System 2:
Day4 Panels
3 Inverter SMA 3300TL HC

32,000Euro

System 3:
Sanyo Panels
3 Inverter SMA 3300TL HC

39,000Euro

Also I was looking wouldnt it be cheaper to go with 1 Inverter SMA Tripower 10000TL?

Please give me your recommendations

I've heard of Sanyo panels. That company will be around in 10 years if you have any warranty issues.

I would stick with the 3 inverters, if you had any shadow/shade issues, that would screw up a single inverter, and if one fails, you still have 2 working while you repair the failed unit.

Sanyo panels are generally one of the highest efficiency panels around (they at sunpower). So, unless real estate is at a large premium and you need to maximize kw to area, its generally more cost effective to go with the larger lower cost panels.

Now, if you have limited space and want max kw in the space you have - then look at sanyo and sunpower.

What Mike was saying is that you can bet Sanyo will be around in 5, 12 and 20 years. The others? Maybe yes and maybe no.

A warranty with no company to back it is kind of like having an unused ticket to Seattle dated June 21, 1998 - not much value.

solar panels are pretty simply made. there isn't much to them. just seal em really tight with a $30k machine. if you crack them or get them stolen, THEY don't cover that anyway. if they were stolen, that would be home insurance taking care of it.

a manufactured panel is a manufactured panel. they will all last for a really long when properly sealed. what are the chances of something really happening to the panel? $9k difference worth? i think the phonosolar panels would suffice IMO.

Hi Sean, You are really that impressed with quality control coming from China?

If the panels were from Sanyo, Sharp, and a couple of other brand names I would agree.

With a major international manufacturing in China they do take care of QC (the international company). With a local company? Who knows - sometimes good and sometimes not so good.
