60 Watt Solarex Solar Panels

I have a chance to purchase some used 60 Watt Solarex Solar Panels model MSX60 3.57Amp. According to my research they were probably manufactured in the mid-90s so they are getting old.

I can get them for $150 each are they worth it???

What is your opinion of these panels???

All used panels should be tested. Week old panels can be bad, and20 yer old panels good.

Test first for open circut voltage, then for short curcit amps. Run the amps test for 20 minutes, and after ten minutes, tap around on the panel, see if your amps meter twitches. if it does, you have bad connections, and the panel is useless for reliable power

Mike thanks for the information concerning testing the panels.

I think they maybe asking to much for the panels, $150 / 60watts = $2.50 per watt for possibly 20 year old 60watt panels, of coarse no shipping and they are available immediately. I am thinking I should just order some new higher watt panels.
