1. Probably not listed by any recognized testing agency, so safety is questionable.
2. 1500W at 12V is 125 amps. No way can the wiring shown safely carry 125A DC. And of course the cigarette lighter/power port adapter is ludicrous in this context. Even if the wire for the clamp leads were large enough, trying to run 125A through battery clips is also ludicrous.
3. On that basis, I have reason to doubt anything else that is said in the description.SunnyBoy 3000 US, 18 BP Solar 175B panels. -
Yes, I'm sure it doesn't deliver 1500W as described, but I'm after 750W and was thinking this could do this job?Comment

Even at 750w you need to supply an inverter @ 12v with nearly 70 Amps due to internal losses (probably more with that one), takes heavy wiring and connections to do that properly. People in the electronics industry have a nickname for inverters "SMOKE IN A CAN", inverters like that one helped earn that reputation. If you actually need anything near 750w output, I would look at some others.Comment

I would rate it at about 300w.. given the box size.. but the cig lighter cable is rated at best 15a as that is the most you can ever get from vehicle wiring to cig lighter.180w max.. the cable with clamps about the same...The terminals on the inverter about 400w max..
There are low price 1000 and 2000 w sine wave inverters available that are good buys.. That is not one of them..Comment

If modified sine wave is OK for you, Xantrex makes the XPower 1500W 813-1500-UL for about $160.
If you need pure sine, Xantrex ProWatt SW1000 806-1210 for $250 or Samlex SSW-1000-12A for $280.Solar Queen

If you need super cheap, I have heard the Thor TH750 is not too bad, and/or the Whistler 800, they both start out around $65 if you shop around. They are not as good as the ones Amy points out above, just some choices depending on your budget. Also you probably do not want to push any of these inexpensive ones to their limit (rated max.) very often.Comment

if you interested to buy a cheap inverter..buy one with at least double the power you are going to use.. as most have inadequate cooling.. If its above 300w look at the input terminals . if they look about the same size as on a cheap amplifier/speraker box.. its probably not good... If it has input posts at least 1/4 " dia and solid looking threaded hold down knobs its possibly ok design.
Ibought a cheap 2000w inverter to replace a good 1000w sine wave one and its been excellent about 5 months now. the 2000 w version was only $20 us more than 1000 w from same manufacturer..And same self draw.Comment

Made by TBE.. Have no idea if its approved by anyone. It works and appears well made.. But it would never manage 2000 w longer than 2.3 seconds.Bought it direct from China..about $130 us..But it does all a 1000w expensive one will do,.. It is TSW (true sine wave) measures just under 5% distortion.Comment
