Since you ask:

I was referring to gvl's post about 7746 kW output and the idea that the table you posted has a column headed "Power (kw)". Maybe I'm misinterpreting gvl's meaning, but I took it as pointing out an error, perhaps in a sarcastic way, by pointing to an absurdly large output, and your response that didn't seem to understand the point. But, like I wrote, maybe I'm just missing something and I'm the ignorant one.

If I'm still missing something, I'd like to know what it is, Otherwise, if I was correct, I was simply expressing general disappointment at the great dumbing of America or which this is, IMO, an example.

After a thread that probably made it to the Guinness book for length and handholding, and now being an installer, it looks to me like you may still not get the basics, even when pointed out.

If what I write seems abrupt and critical, I'd suggest you consider being careful what you ask for. Opinions are like noses: everyone has one.

I remember that I had to pass a slide rule test in my first year as an EE. I still have my K&E somewhere in a box along with some text books.

Hope the batteries haven't run down.

I still use mine occasionally. Lots of memories.

I say bring back slide rules! My old K&E still works fine and you don't have to worry about getting 5 digits after the decimal point.

Someone using a slide rule needs to have some idea of what the answer will be, and how critical
it is. Can't say that about some of those who just type and read out. After they dropped the
Morse Code requirement, I took a K&E for my Ham radio Extra Class exam. Don't know if they
were impressed, but I did make a perfect score. I would have liked to take my round slide
rule, but haven't been able to find it since the last move. Bruce Roe

Only a programmer will give you 5 decimal digits for temperature. I'm so glad I'm an engineer.

I am presuming that the temperature shown in that list of data (64.2543) is in Centigrade not Fahrenheit. That would calculate out to about 148 F.

That is correct. My buddy is a programmer and he did some script where between 11am - 6pm, if the temp is above 60º C it will now email me every 1/2 hour with the temp.

So the API works...I clicked it off, saved, logged out...logged back in, clicked it on, saved...logged out...logged back in, and now it's all good.
