I am presuming that the temperature shown in that list of data (64.2543) is in Centigrade not Fahrenheit. That would calculate out to about 148 F.
That is correct. My buddy is a programmer and he did some script where between 11am - 6pm, if the temp is above 60º C it will now email me every 1/2 hour with the temp.
I say bring back slide rules! My old K&E still works fine and you don't have to worry about getting 5 digits after the decimal point.
Someone using a slide rule needs to have some idea of what the answer will be, and how critical
it is. Can't say that about some of those who just type and read out. After they dropped the
Morse Code requirement, I took a K&E for my Ham radio Extra Class exam. Don't know if they
were impressed, but I did make a perfect score. I would have liked to take my round slide
rule, but haven't been able to find it since the last move. Bruce Roe
