    LG280 vs. LG300

Are there any other considerations apart from the available space on the roof between the 2? It seems I can get a slightly better $/w ratio with the 280s. I pretty much decided on Solar Edge but after I downsized the proposed array a bit (same panel count but 280s instead of 300s) my installer recommends the micros, not sure why. The array was too big to begin with IMO. No shading during main production hours.

If the 280s are cheaper and meet your needs, I know of no reason to prefer the 300s or 305s.

(Caveta: I haven't ever used any of them. I'm using five year old panels now, and am looking at getting panels for a new house. LG 305's look like the best option for me, as my roof space is limited, and came out under $3.50/watt before subsidies.)

The 280 is not just the same panel with lower output. Go to LG.com and select the 300 and 280 and click compare.

The 300 has a better temp coefficient and some newer technology (or marketing gimmicks). If the difference in price is only a few percent, I would get the 300/305.
