    is this enough

    Hi all,

ive worked it out that i would be using around 2,800 - 3000 watts per day that is running my:

    2 pond pumps
    lighting for inside and outside
    use of dvd player

my understanding of solar panels is that 400w would give me 400w per hour under optimum conditions, so i would say in uk weather i would get 150 during day time for 5 hours a day at most

my system im thinking of using is

400 w solar panels (will expand over time to 800-1000w)
    1000w inverter
    Steca 30A Solar Charge Controller
    battery bank (not sure)

looking at 1 x 220ah battery (to start with) if i have a 24 v solar panel i would do a 24v battery bank even if i have to buy 2 x 100ah and then link them

if this good or crap set up ?

    Thanks

    William
