Do a bit of research and give something called PVWatts a try. Read the help/info screens first. Depending on tilt/a.If you are in, say Buffalo or Seattle, a 1st guess may be close to 11,000 kWh/yr. for an 8 kW system If you're in Albuquerque, an 8 kW system may well get closer to 14,000 kWh/yr. or so. It depends.

Well the first day you would produce roughly 40 Kwh, and after a year up around 11,000 Kwh which is quite a bit more than 11 Kwh.

Short answer, you should break about even. Weather is fickle, one year you'll get more output, the next less. I have 8.2 kw and for the last 4 years it's about 12,000 kw average.
