Depends on installer / AND owner's input.
The EV conduit run from one side to another hidden behind rain gutters. Things can be done with addition supervision/$$$$.

I got a new Eaton panel, made specificlly for solar panel systems, and a garage interior sub panel for a EV charging station someday.. all for $1500.
It was a no brainer, to do it at that price.Leave a comment:

I have three panel arrays.
Each array has is own path under the panels into the attic, then the 3 feeds join into one.
That one conduit runs through the attic, exits the starter board, runs down the exterior wall, and into the breaker panel.
And thats all there is....Leave a comment:

Hmmm, how do you get around that conduit coming off the roof ? Straight down between the studs ?Leave a comment:

#2 doesn't look so bad IMHO.
I'm guessing that like roof panels, after a few days you and the neighbors don't even notice.Leave a comment:

These are about as clean as you can get with interior, and exterior string inverter installs. Come to your own decisions as far as esthetics are concerned.
Thats the only point I was making...Leave a comment:

FWIW, I haven't seen anything even remotely rude or offensive on this thread. That was my whole point. I'm moving on.Leave a comment:

Yes I'm sure that wasn't intended to offend, and to be fair I am not certain as to whether the pictured install was complete, eg. the drywall wasn't yet replaced along the bottom of the wall and so forth and so forth. So maybe it wasn't entirely cleaned up.
Although I have to say I would have been interested to know just what each of those boxes were. I recognize the inverters but wasn't sure about everything else.
I also didn't know the micro inverter install was so very clean, that's very nice looking. Of course there's still the issue that many people have with them which of course is more parts subject to potential failure.
And the SolarEdge thing, is there a difference with the final "look" of that install compared to these others ?

Did you see how those guys were ragging about the unusual display in my neighborhood ? I actually thought it looked OK but to each his own.

Did I miss something ? What was rude ? Maybe an example of too thin skinned or looking for a reason to be offended ?Leave a comment:

I will also add that I think your comments were extremely rude. So I'll excuse myself from this forum. Thanks for all the help gentleman.Leave a comment:

Another member just posted this photo of his completed install....
This is MY opinion... please ... no one should get all butt-hurt over my comments.
That said, this is a big part of why I went with micro inverters, I dont want my house looking like a science project.
This is the only visible thing, added to my house for the solar install... a single piece of conduit and a red sticker

I know the advantages of string inverters, but went with Micro's anyways.
I'd do it again, in a heartbeat.Leave a comment:
