Their a great company who understand how to install a efficient solar system.
They are coming back out before summer hits, to see what cost effective improvements can be made to my Air Conditioning systems...
I should be all set for the next 20 years at that point..Leave a comment:

OK, so we are using about the same.
I called your guy and he is coming down tomorrow to inspect the house/roof.
Thank you so much, Bob.Leave a comment:

About 11k annually.. This system is designed to generate just under that.

Here is a rough idea on my consumtion, vs. projected generation.

You can see I'm slightly overproducing ( this far) for Jan. Once spring comes around, I should build enough credits to offset my summer A/C bill....

Bob, how many kwh were you using on average before you went solar? A monthly average or a yearly number would do
I'm currently using, on average, 895kwh a month.Leave a comment:

"NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:
Update: November 18, 2014
RPU has expended all currently budgeted rebate funds and the Residential Photovoltaic (PV) Rebate Program is now closed for fiscal year 2014-15.
The PV Rebate program will re-open next year on July 1, 2015.
Retroactive rebates are not available.
Applicants must qualify for fiscal year 2015-16 PV rebate program and receive a rebate reservation approval when the program reopens. All systems must be built after July 1, 2015.
We thank you for your continued interest in RPU’s residential solar rebate program. With your support, RPU has exceeded 11 megawatts of locally generated clean solar energy.
In accordance with our published solar rebate guidelines, the program is limited to funds available on a first-come-first served basis."Leave a comment:

no other rebates. Unless you are in Riverside County, they just start a $1500 solar rebate for Riverside County at moment with limited allocation.Leave a comment:

Hi Bob,
I've been doing some research into solar for a couple of weeks now and I would like to know the company that did the work for you. Please PM me their name so I can give them a call.
Also, other than the 30% tax credit, is there any other credit or rebate that you will be getting from the State, the county, the city, SCE, etc?Leave a comment:

So.. I got to do solar, and the wifey got to do the kitchen...
We both followed the same parameters.
1. Dont go the cheapest, go the best value. Your contractor needs to make money to stay in business. If you try to hammer him on the price ( or get into some kind of barter situation) ..its a lousy way to start a business relationship.
2. Tell the contractor EXACTLY what you expect... and thats you will accept.
3. Question everything. A good contractor will love to explain everything. A crappy contractor will get all defensive, and is your first warning sign.
Our kitchen came our perfect, on budget, ON TIME, and will soon be moving upstairs to do the master bath.
We like our contractor, and he likes us...... see how it works???

It looks more like a 200CFM low profile rangehood. If that's power enough for your type of cooking
we need a powerful rangehood for our kitchen hahaLeave a comment:
