Hey Bob,
If you look at your emphase output on a recent sunny day, how much percentage would you say you make On-Peak vs. Off-Peak?

TOU-D-T is now on "Summer Rates". Peak increased from $.22 a KwH to $.34 a KwH.. a 55% increase.
Off peak went up $.01 to $0.14.... only a 8% hike.
This increased pricing offset will add nicely to my TOU credits, rolling into summer.
Thanks SCE!!!Leave a comment:

quite so persistent. Sometimes we just get a brief peak at the sun for part of the day, between
clouds blowing by. Have been doing average 90 KWH a day in April, 106 in May. But this May
is running 80 KWH per day. Bruce RoeLeave a comment:

"May Grey" is also common around San Diego, depending how close you get to the coast. I'm about 15 air line miles from the coast at ~ 1,500 ft. above sea level so I'm usually sunnier than downtown, but the recent clouds here remind me why I left Buffalo. I don't recall a more persistent cloudy period since I've lived here - '95 w/ several yr. break.Leave a comment:

I'm still kicking around the idea of switching from TOU-D-T to TOU-D-A... but spotty output like this has me concerned about TOU-D-A.
Without the high peak KwH pricing for generation available due to poor weather, your stuck paying the same high rate as a consumer instead.
Weather forcasters have pridicted a veery strong El Nino for this year, resulting in many more cloudy, rainy days, further hampering the advantages of the TOU-D-A plan.
I think I'm sticking with the safer bet, the TOU-D-T plan.
..... time will tell if this was the right choice.
FWIW: As of yesterday, my prior 31 day system output was about 80.4% of the same period last year. Perhaps not surprisingly, the Global Horizontal Insolation for the same prior 31 days this year was about 79.6% of the GHI for the same period last year as measured by the pyranometer adjacent to my array.Leave a comment:

InsaneOctane and I collaborated on a very good spreadsheet for comparing the different SCE plans. If you download the data as SilverSaver suggests, it would drop in fairly easily. I can send the spreadsheet to any SCE user interested, or will run the numbers for you as time permits, if you PM me the data. It would be good to verify that all spreadsheets being recommended here give similar results.Leave a comment:

log into your SCE account. Look for "green botton" on lower left. select date rage (data only support from last 13 months). select download format (.csv)and select account to download.
It is not hard to do it on your own if you have Excel. The data offering from date range selection break down to each hour usage. So you get 24 datas per day. All you need is adding the usage for every hour for example from 12am to 1am, you just add from Jan 1st to Jan 2nd. Once your create the formula (just one cell + another cell) Point on lower right cornor and drag down....... sorry I did not know if you are good with Excell or no.... If you have problem, text me your email and we can go on pm.Leave a comment:
