Any experience with RGS Energy (Real Goods Solar)?

    Hi folks.

I got a quote from RGS Energy that seems interesting (a 5Kw system for about $10,000 after rebates/incentives).

What I would like to hear from the friends here is your experience with RGS Energy, meaning, installation quality, equipment quality, monitoring system, timeliness, etc.
If you had equipment problems, were they solved to your satisfaction?

Anything you could share would be appreciated. Anyone from Eastern MA?

    Thanks.

Probably no labor/permitting/freight/ etc. in that price.

      Thanks, JPM.

The price of those systems are coming down lately. Actually the system will cost $20,000, but will come down to about $10,000 after the rebates and incentives.

Any word on the RGS Energy as a company?

      Thanks.

My neighbor has a system from RGS for the last 4 years. He is happy with them.

I am in the process of buying a system for my house and got five quotes, including one from RGS. Their pricing wasn't as good on the pre-paid lease as a couple of others. If you haven't already, I would get a minimum of 3 quotes.

            prhamilton,
            thank you for the feedback.

You're correct, we have to have multiple quotes. RGS's was one of the three I got.

Good company. One of, if not THE original solar power company, bringing it to the masses. They installed my GT system years ago, and did a warranty replacement on a bad panel a year later.
