How Fragile are Solar Panels?

I'm just curious if they can withstand extreme weather, for example, high winds and sandstorms.

The solar cells themselves are fragile, but they are covered by thin sheets of plastic for impact resistance. They are tested to withstand hail storms, etc.

metal foil, and can transform energy from the sun directly into DC power for

I found a few solar panel installers in my state when I looked at www.solarlocate.com. I have a few bids coming my way. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes.

Overall the modules themselves are not too fragile, and will definitely not be damaged by weather, except for the most extreme of hail (possibly). They are covered in tempered glass, so they will break but it takes quite a hit to break them.

I have seen installers crawl across them without any damage.
