Different areas of the world, have different power standards, so regardless of the advice given, you need to make sure the frequency (Hz) and Voltage are correct for your area.

So, the first step, is to look at the labels for your appliances, and see how much power they consume, and estimate how many hours they will be on. That gives a "watt hour" measurement, and from that, you can calculate how much solar panel you will need.

Additionally, you need to get the blessing from your electric provider, to connect a Grid-Interactive Inverter to their system.

A Grid-Interactive system, is about 95% efficient with converting the solar power you harvest, to power to feed into the grid. A battery based system, is only about 55% efficient, because of the many steps needed along the way, and battery chargeing losses.

If you put name to google, and look on their web site for your region, you will find if this is suitable for you.
Names: SMA, Fronius, Delta Electronics, Mastervolt, Xantrex, and many, many more. First four is usualyuse in Europe (230 V, 50 Hz)...
s pozdravom, best regards, mit freundlichen Grussen, cordialement, Pavel

I am planing to buy 10 kw system from sunelec.com which I intend to use in Europe on 220V/50Hz voltage. This system has 2 SUNNY BOY 6000 US, 6KW Inverters which are designed for US voltage but the sales persons told me that they can readjust them to work on 220V/50 Hz voltage.
Can someone please tell me is this feasable and will it have some impact on
        the quality, endurance, warranty....etc?

Or should I go on regular european inverters?

        Thanks

it's your best guess. MAybe download and read the US sunnyboy manuals, and see if they carry the european certs too.

$170 for 2000w inverter. The price is to good to be ........
              Have any warranty on it?

                Just a short note.

A single, $550us 200W PV panel, when hot in the sun, can harvest about 80% (160W) of it's nameplate rating. So in a 5 hour solar day, you can capture about 800W Hours (WH)

Batteries only have 80% efficency when being recharged, so on a sunny day, you at most, can replenish 640WH
That would be able to have run 3, 100W lights, for 2 hours. The last 40 watts goes to makeing your inverter hot. Converting 12V to 120VAC has losses.

While the sun is powerful, PV panels are really wimpy collectors. Don't overestimate how much power you could harvest.

Also, while cheap mod-sine inverters can run many things, devices with transformers or motors, will consume about 20-30% more power, run much hotter, buzz or make noise and sometimes break. Pure sine wave inverters run all things well, but are expensive.

hey flexi, I removed your email address to keep it from getting harvested by spam bots. it will help keep some spam out of your inbox

I removed the guy who was spamming his email address on every post. that's bad business practice and this isn't a "free one-stop advertising forum for solar companies."
