DIY LFP batteries - Permit issues?

For those of you in a city and needing to draw permits along with the power company's to operate....

Has DIY LFP batteries been an issue?

This would depend on local AHJ.

I am in heavily populated centeal AZ and would not do that. During the inspection, the fire Marshall was interested in UL ratings of batteries.

DIY cells from China have no UL ratings for grid connections despite some misleading claims.

I’ve seen some builds that were approved in remote areas.

As I posted on another thread I wanted to finally get a permit for my hybrid battery system and could not do it with my DIY EVE cells. i found a listing on the CEC site for my SolArk 12k with Pytes batteries and pulled a permit which was processed in a few days.
