Does anyone know if a Consumption Meter and Current Transformers "CT's" are required for a SolarEdge Inveter and a LG Chem battery for PG&E TOU discharging? Assuming not participating in any programs like SGIP. I have a SmartMeter NEM on my house. The battery would be used for both backup power and exporting back the grid. TIA
Is Consumption Meter Required

Anything on the PG & E website ? If not, what did PG & E say when you called/emailed and asked them the question ?
Seems they'd be the most likely source for an answer that had a high probability of being correct. -
Hi J.P.M., I'm waiting to get a response from solar@pge.com tried calling but sat on endless hold for an hour before hanging up.Comment

Read the terms of your NEM agreement to make sure it allows you to send stored solar energy back to the grid. That is something that you may need their permission to do. I have a GT inverter with a NEM agreement and a hybrid inverter with only a building permit. The hybrid inverter is UL certified but it is configured to not sell back to the grid.Last edited by Ampster; 03-05-2020, 11:42 AM.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage.
