    - Solyndra
    - Spectrawatt
    - SolarWorld (closed CA)
    - BP
    - Solon (closed Tucson)

And that's just in the last few months.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of successful companies just like the ones you've mentioned.. I applaud them because it is soooo difficult to manage larger operational units. Comes down to leadership, which by the way Siemens a monster out there

At the end of the day, it comes down to management and execution. I don't think SolarWorld closing their manu facility a poor decision. Sucks for the workers out there but I understand why they had to do it. Pure players easier to run but I'm sure they will also have their challenges...

hehehe... Rich, I think we all overindulge .... maybe SunKing can fire up a bbq and show us how to really fire up a grill

Schott is very legit. Their panels routinely test out among the top performers with Photon and the TUV. Would not hesitate to recommend these high-end modules to anybody.

Schott are good panels, I have used quite a few of them. From my POV Schott is like Sanyo, Sharp, GE, Kyocera and some of the other big names everyone knows. Solar is a small percentage of their total product line where their core business carries the non profitable solar product line. IMHO that is what you want to look when buying panels because you know those companies will be around tomorrow to honor waranty claims and future expansions.

Look around solar panel manufactures are going bankrupt right and left because governments are cutting back subsidies. Without subsidies the market will collapse and their will be no solar market. When that happens all those companies who only make RE products will be gone and retired living on a beach somewhere with your tax money.
