Not a shocker yet the biggest news that I've ever come across for those (supposedly/expensively) attempting to prepare for exactly the same scenario...yet still remaining extremely vulnerable.
If I was 20 years younger, I'd be taking good look at/tearing down the top two or three inverters sold today and coming up with a work around to protect them from what just happened today. The 'guts' are obviously there so as to not just throw all these things in the garbage due to the obvious. I would also wager that there are many out there willing to pay good money to make their system not necessarily bulletproof but at least safer than they are today.
I just bought an EG4 12KpV today and an EMP proof EG4 100ah battery (yeah, I should have went with the minimum 200Ah).
My question again is this:
Who is going to make some money here even locally that enjoys a challenge and why wouldn't they literally be a folk hero to the entire DIY community/others if they ever came up with a solution?
