Sunny Boy not talking to Sunny Portal

I am noticing that my Sunny Boy is no longer talking to my Sunny Portal (by ennexOS) as of April. I log on the portal. The last "Event monitor" event I see in the logs is "AFCI self-test successful" on 4/21/24 at around 7:14pm (PST).

I tried shutting the device down and restarting it. I do see that Sunny Boy has an IP. I am able to ping it via my computer console.
I also installed the windows app, Sunny Explorer. I am able to connect as a user, asking me to change the password the first time. When I try to log on as the 'installer', It doesn't connect with the default password, so i assume that the installer set it up (obviously had to) and never gave me the password.

I'm not sure what needs to be done. My installer has long been out of business (Solar Universe, who i think was aquired by REPOWER).

I have mentioned to other folks in a similar situation; when we were evaluating various solar vendors for our project, one of the installers (and the one we ultimately chose) commented that his company is called in for a lot of these kinds of situations where a vendor has gone out of business and the system has stopped functioning. It's not that uncommon an issue.

I am not a system engineer, did not play one on television nor stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, but it sounds like the OS in your inverter needs to be upgraded or patched. I suggest that you reach out to a new installer and ask them if they can perform maintenance on an existing system. Our vendor / installer was a regional Generac representative, and he was the one who said they provide that kind of service.

      Thanks Rade,
I'm not sure how to go about searching for someone that does that in my area. I live in Orange County, California. If anyone recommends someone, I would appreciate it.

Have you tried to contact SMA support?
