    help required!

help please! i have a system that is 9 years old & PV panels or inverter intermittently stop working? i will be generating say 1.4kw & then suddenly 70w when sunny? if i turn DC switch on/off brings it back, 6x this year, inverter shows green light & running?
    any ideas?

i have put a claim in to get repaired, as my installers went bust! but been rejected as i didnt report when it 1st happened in march! am appealing at present

but just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you need to find a new solar vendor in your region to assess your system and perhaps replace / upgrade the failing component.

It could be any number of things from your inverter operating system requires an upgrade or security patch, inverter gone bad, intermittent short between the inverter and the panels, squirrels nesting under the panels... any number of things.

My regional solar vendor does evaluations for repair work on systems that were not sold / installed through his office. It's not that an uncommon request.

What region are you in; perhaps folks on this forum can direct you to proven resources.
