Looks like Solar Edge is having financial issues

It seems to me PV as well as alternate energy is past its peak, so that story seems more like click bait than anything new, unusual or informative.
But if that pictured array does have anything to do with SolarEdge, I'd start the layoffs by getting rid of the morons that put that array together. What were they thinking ? -
A project that size no doubt had engineered drawings that were followed exactly as written/drawn. Don't want to deviate from the engineer's drawings.Comment

Not so surprising after the layoffs at Enphase. High interest rate and NEM3 have reduced demand significantly.Comment

Any (alleged) professional who worked on that project deserves the same fate.
Add: That may well have been a file photo that was hanging around and had zero to do with SolarEdge.
Mike, I'm pretty sure you're a professional electrician. You know dangerous work when you see it and I bet you take steps to mitigate the dangers or at least bring them to management's attention and I'm quite sure you'd never work in unsafe conditions. I can only imagine what other horrors are in that mess.Last edited by J.P.M.; 07-17-2024, 05:44 PM.Comment

At present, most of the pv producers are no safe in finance. The market is growing slowly with too much supply.Comment

The National statistics including solar farms, wind turbines and grid scale batteries seems to be still growing but I am sure high interest rates and NEM 3.0 in California have slowed the rooftop solar market.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012Comment
