Solar system wiring, the usual practice?

    Hi all,
I was watching some 24v solar build video and noticed something peculiar in the build and was wondering if some solar gurus could help me out understand what I'm looking at here.

In particular, the person making this build wired the SCC output positive wire through the Inverter positive input which then was connected to the battery cable.

Is this a normal practice in solar system wiring? Does this help the Inverter feed the load directly from solar when the battery is full?

    Thank you.

I might be concerned with voltage drop with all the various connections between the SCC and the battery. The controller needs an accurate voltage at the battery to charge properly There's a bus bar for the negative side but not the positive. Personally, I would have added the positive bus bar, eliminating the unnecessary multiple connections.

Someone mentioned that wiring it this way might present a problem because the inverter fuse rating is sort of bypassed by the SCC positive wire being connected after the fuse to the inverter positive input and could harm inverter with overload. Is this true?

To me it sounds more like the fuse could trip because of the inverter max Amp draw rate combined with SCC power excess charging the battery at the same time which would bring the current over the fuse rating.

Also, where would you install the positive busbar, before the fuse for the inverter max Amp draw?

Merely trying to get an understanding on how things work. Sorry if my questions are unclear. I try my best, yet, English is not my first language.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to help me, Appreciated!

I'm no expert here so others may come along and have other suggestions.
You can fuse the whole system with a Blue Sea battery terminal fuse and at or just after the positive bus bar use this type of Class T fuse for the inverter. This does seem a bit redundant but I imagine it's better than not enough fusing.
