Broken Panel

Morning Gentlemen,
I have two panels.
Each
18 Voc
16.7 A
Two weeks ago they were stolen at night.
I got them back but one SP2 had the negative terminal broken..
SP1 is the unbroken panel.

Q/
Is it ok to rejoin to the terminal second from right next to the positive terminal?
Or do I need to have the combine diode configuration as in SP1.
Lastly on SP1 what is the use of the two centre terminals?

The middle terminals are connections to intermediate nodes in the cell array. You will get lower voltage from there. You should connect to the outside "tabs" - the metal strips coming out of the panel. Probably need to solder your wire to it. Don't worry about the bypass diodes - not really needed on a two panel array...
