Hello ,everyone, I hope you’re all right. I live on the small island of Sin Marteen in the Caribbean. I bought from one of my friends 2 solar panels of 320w each AUO sunpower. Now I would like to install them in the easiest way . Is it possible to just add an micro inverter and plug it in live into an electrical outlet? Thanks for your help

I do not know the electric code for you location but I can tell you that plugging any solar equipment back into an electrical outlet is both illegal and dangerous in the US. It might be legal where you live but only if the outlet is dedicated to the solar equipment. If you can plug something else into that circuit you can over load the wires and start a fire.
My suggestion would be to talk to someone in your area that both understands the electric code and can help you with the work. -
Thank for your help , in the french side you can plug into an ac ( plug& play ) but I just get this info 2 panels 320w x2 is to much.
so if I buy 2 enphase iq7+ and a enphase relay is ok ?Comment

If the wire size is big enough and the overcurrent protection (fuse or circuit breaker) is rated to open before the wire overheats then I would expect that what your plan should work. Just remember not to have any other loads on the same circuit as the iq7's.Comment

Thanks for your help , Here the sun hits hard . Are there any know problems using enphase Iq7 or other micro inverter on canvas roofs that can often be very hot .Comment

Well any electronics can suffer if exposed to too much heat. Failed micros were a big issue when they first came out but unless you have an issue getting to them if you need to replace them then all should be ok. Now if you were using micros on a large array that was up on the second story of a home it might cost a lot in labor to replace them. Hopefully yours get enough cooling and last a long time.Comment
