Hello solar experts!
I am currently involved in the design of a 4000sf dining hall/nature center which is going to be the flagship building of an 'eco' driven overnight camp. The owner had initially planned on having a pv array on the south side to power the building but our budget got slashed and now he doesnt want to do it. I think it is an essential thing for the design of this structure. I wanted to ask you guys about ways to get our hands on a solar equip for cheap/free?
When I was in school, I remember that a solar company donated a fairly large array as long as they got to put their name all over the project in order to get publicity. Since this project is going to see a high population passing through it learning about sustainable practices (compost, solar energy, conservation) , I thought that this would be a prefect pitch to give to a prominent solar panel company to get a donation (or at least discount) on a complete package for the new dining hall/naturecenter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm tryin my best to preserve solar power as a design concept!
Thanks!
