Solaredge inverter reliability

My car charger is simply grounded to my inverter - Solaredge mentioned something about changes in the electricity or the harmonics in the electricity changes which can trigger the fault and they have better firmware to combat that. Electrical is not my background but it does appear there is some relation. Hopefully they have a way to make it work with new firmware or anything to alleviate that. But simply grounding my car charger to inverter would not cause the fault they said but the harmonics in general could is what they told me

Anyone more knowledgeable, know why charging a car could potentially cause this? When I was hitting this issue as soon as my charger started the error would pop up. Only after resetting the inverter was I able to charge my car and have the inverter running at the same time. Trying to understand how the inverter would act any differently if power was going to the grid vs being consumed.

do you have a solaredge integrated car charger? if not then what kind of car charger do you have?
I could see it lowering voltage if the voltage was already borderline, could be some odd harmonic issues if the charger is poor quality.

Another one bites the dust....

I have a new one in route as well. Should be here by tomorrow. This one was brand new installed in December 2017 and commisioned in Jan 2018. Here is my firmware version. Mine was updated 4 times since Jan 2018.

Well I spoke with Solaredge this morning and they confirmed a capacitor failure on my inverter and my installer called Solaredge and they are shipping a new inverter - should get here within 7-10 business days

This is what my inverter shows. I did see the error on a day where it was pretty warm, so hoping I don't see this error more frequently as it gets warmer.

I just got an error code on my Solaredge 7600HD inverter-says 18xB7 then it says HW error and the red fault light is on. I called Solaredge support and they said they are updating the firmware and said it will take all night and to check tomorrow if it fixes the issues

Keep an eye on it as i have been having issues wth my 7600 HD since install on January 2018. They keep updating the firmware and seems to resolve the issue temporarily. Now my temps are in the 180 range during mid day here in Florida. I looked at the inverter cabling and all looks well. This is causing my Inveter to derate the power it is making .

There is an on/off switch on the inverter above the dc disconnect.

Okay yeah I tried that also but I keep getting the same error

The breaker you flipped was it the breaker to the solar inverter or the breaker for the entire house? I just tried the breaker outside connected to the inverter so far

Unfortunately it did not work for me I even turned the breaker off for 10 minutes. I will see if this firmware update helps that they are talking about

I just flipped the switch to turn it off. After it came down completely I flipped the breaker and waited a minute before turning everything back on.

I hit this error once while charging my car. After resetting the unit it came back up and haven't seen it since. Curious to hear what version you end up getting.

dailo can you tell me how you reset your inverter ?
