HD Wave is still quite new which is why there hasn't been much talk about it.
I would wait and see a bit before trying them myself....
Solaredge inverter reliability

I still like em. No cooling fans, so no cooling fan failures! These issues are probably just software, so they will fix over time.Leave a comment:

I am getting quotes now and had specified HD Wave inverters since the produce less heat and are more efficient than the previous model. This thread makes me nervous about that path. A quick search of the forum doesn't show a lot of talk about failures on this model-what is the mood here on SolarEdge HD Wave this week?Leave a comment:

I'm experiencing something interesting as well. One of my inverters has done this before, but just that once. This morning, both inverters are doing it.
The screen on the inverter has frozen data. It responds to button presses, shows numbers, but they aren't fluctuating, and the data being sent back to SE's servers is also frozen. Last time this happened, it was at the end of the day and this inverter reported 300ish watts flat over some period of time. This morning, they are all showing "night mode" via the remote screen viewer.
I do not know if they are actually producing or not while in this state. I'm not home to be able to tell (looking at the net meter to see if its feeding backwards at the moment). Just gonna have the wife hit the breakers to both inverters and let them power cycle.Leave a comment:

The inverter was producing nothing. Just a flashing power light. Flashing is not the normal state. Diging into the monitoring info the inverter was in a starting state. There was no fault indicated The normal info on the display was if it was in standby mode, standby was not displayed.Leave a comment:

I know the app is not always reliable and goes down once in a while curious did the inverter display how many watts of power it was receiving on the inverter or did it display voltage and that the optimizers were connected ? Or you can have your installer check through charts to see what happened ?Leave a comment:

Checked the monitoring app around noon today and was shocked to see no production for the day. Went down to the inverter and the power light was flashing, but no error code on display. Flipped the breaker off then on, inverter started producing. My unit has been running less than a month with already one failed inverter. I think I have made a mistake with solaredge.Leave a comment:

Well my SolarEdge SE3800H, failed after 3 days of operation and had to be replaced. I made my installer deal with Solaredge warranty and had them go buy me a new one.Leave a comment:
